Japanese dragons (Ryū) are symbols of strength, and the flow of natural forces, often linked to water and the heavens. While they sometimes take on antagonistic roles, they are in general awe-inspiring entities. The dragon's form in this artwork coils in an incomplete circle - maru - a shape of harmony and continuity. I wanted to express that power and nature are cyclical, eternal, and always in motion.
