This dragon carries a deeply personal meaning and is a recurring motif in my artwork. In my mind’s eye the scales shimmer like an aurora. In this scene it manages to catch its own dive just before impacting the water surface. Depicted on the inside of the wings and maintained by magic, is a living window into the abyssal reaches of space.
